Families,
Friends & Neighbors (FFN) Training and Mentoring
Project for Child Care Providers
Funded by
This program is to train
family members, friends, and neighbors who provide
child care for more than 15 hours a week, without a
child care license - this includes grandmothers,
aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors and anyone who
helps take care of children. CNVEP is excited to
offer this comprehensive training program that will
involve classes in Spanish and English to learn the
philosophy of nonviolent child raising as well as
practical activities to do with children 0-5. The
program will also involve field trips, opportunities
to meet other providers, involvement in the CNVEP
community, information about community resources,
and support. Each participant will be connected with
a mentor who will offer support and information on a
one-on-one basis. Child care will be offered for all
classes and events provided by qualified early
childhood teachers. This program is FREE.
