Parent Educator
Certification Program
Funded by The Annenberg and Ahmanson Foundations
The Center for
Nonviolent Education and Parenting is excited to
announce the second Parent Educator Certification
Program. The program will train interested
individuals to become certified teachers of a basic
course in Nonviolent Parenting and Education. In an
alive, creative, and dynamic learning environment
the trainers will be immersed in the philosophical
underpinnings and pedagological framework for
teaching in multiple settings. Participants will
spend additional time between sessions studying and
interning with CNVEP educators.
The Parent Educator
Certification Program is designed for individuals
who have completed a series of classes in Nonviolent
Parenting. If you have not completed a series,
please call CNVEP and speak with Susan or Ruth to
discuss you participation in the training.

September 20, 2008 through May 2, 2009
1 Saturday a month from 2 - 9 pm and 2 Wednesday
evenings a month from 6:30 - 9:30 pm

The fee for the
program, including materials is $2,200. Payment
plans and some scholarships are available.
If you are a parent,
teacher, social worker, or counselor who is
interested in studying, practicing, and teaching
Nonviolent Education and Parenting and would like to participate in the Parent Educator
Certification Program, fill out the PECP Application Form.
